I have not eaten at the Flowood location but I have eaten at their new Brandon location twice in the last week. The first time was after church on Sunday. I had chicken fried steak, a biscuit with gravy and corned beef hash over hash browns. It was good but not great. 3.5 out of 5. I went back today. It took about 30 min to be seated because they were that busy I had the blue plate lunch. Grilled chicken, turnip greens Lima beans snd a piece of corn bread an old school country lunch. Man that was good. Nothing was outstanding but it was all really good. They have a huge menu selection. You can find something that will hit the spot. I'm definitely going back

This was our first time coming to the restaurant. We were promptly greeted upon entering the establishment. The environment was very welcoming. We were immediately seated and they took drink orders. The menu is very large and they serve breakfast items all day. Our waiter Alec was very attentive and offered several recommendations. I went with the chef salad. The lettuce was very clean and fresh and the bacon was freshly cooked. The salad tasted amazing. My wife got the Philly cheesesteak and fries, it tasted great also. It does take a little time to get your good but it is prepared fresh and the wait is worth it.I will most definitely be returning.

December 2024! This restaurant has really stepped it up on service and flavor! I get the crab cake Benedict with loaded hash browns almost every time and it's absolutely delicious.

The classic meat and three is a welcome sign in my travels, brings me back to my days in college with great friends, and finding a place is harder these days. Stop in Jo's for a crispy yet tender Chicken Fried Steak with gravy, freshly mashed slightly lumpy mashed potatoes and gravy, freshly fried okra, all served with hot cornbread. I splurged for a cup of their chicken and sausage gumbo that was surprisingly delicious given this far North of I-10. A hearty meal for the price, but get here before 3 because it's a breakfast/lunch type of place.

Great service! Great food! Great atmosphere! Great prices! In town for only a couple of days and I wanted to eat somewhere that I couldn't get in Kentucky. Found this place on Yelp and it was a great find. The cheese grits was so good that I ordered a bowl to go. My crawfish omelet was delish too. I would go back for sure. Great experience. My server, Connor, was great! Very attentive.
